TTI runs a two-year full time Professional Development Teaching Program in affiliation with Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI) in Tauranga, New Zealand. We are committed to providing a Christ-centred, Bible-based teacher training programme to produce relational, responsive, and transformational Christ-following professional teachers.
This program is part of the FWC Education’s Plan to provide training for current teaching staff who have had no teacher training background.
Two courses are taught in each term. Each new course begins with an Intensive Study Week, which is always carried out by a lecturer from BTI, followed by Study Group Sessions, facilitated by a local tutor at TTI. Entry time to the programme would have to be at the beginning of an Intensive Study Week.
