Programme Overview
Get a good grounding in business with this nationally recognised qualification.
It provides a qualification for students aspiring to management positions in a variety of disciplines as well as providing entry into higher professional qualifications. It also assists small business owners who need insight into how to effectively run and manage their small businesses.

Programme Outline
Students must complete:

  • six out of seven compulsory core papers
  • four 600 level papers
  • choose two papers at any level (4, 5 or 6) but no more than three level 4 papers altogether 

 Each paper is portable between polytechnics in New Zealand offering the Diploma. The six compulsory papers are usually offered twice a year (2 semesters) while a wide range of optional papers are offered once a year.
