TTI is governed by the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga under the authority of the FWCT Education Committee and guided by an Advisory Board.

The TTI advisory board saw the need to develop a more stable platform for TTI’s expansion and future direction as an excellent provider of Higher Education by agreeing to the establishment of a new organisational structure that is based on 2 major areas; academic and academic support to be introduced in year 2009.

The new proposed of TTI Governing structure is supported by well defined development and operational policies and procedures; proper decision making processes and efficient reporting channels, strategic guidelines, clear physical, human and financial resource structures and importantly competent leadership.

The new structure also reflects the need for TTI to improve its current Academic activities; gather for future resource planning and Institutional expansions and the need for an Academic Support System to facilitate and to provide support which is integral to the achievement of the Institution’s mission, vision, aspirations and objectives. Academic Support strives for Excellence in all services by aiming to provide; Excellence, professionalism and flexibility in the provision of user-centred services and support to ensure that the Institution will maintain its competitive edge and to achieve excellence in teaching, learning, research and administration. The system promotes better co-ordination and integration of functions which support students’ experience of Institution life, in particular their academic endeavors.
