“Tupou Tertiary Institute Youth Work Development, provides recognized training for youth workers in Tonga. The courses are run in partnership with Praxis, a tertiary training provider which is certified by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

Community Youth Worker

  • Support young people in their personal, educational, and social development.
  • Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to implement youth-focused initiatives.

Youth Development Volunteer

  • Recommended and supported by an approved organization that is willing and able to provide supervision for their field work placement.
  • Already involve in Youth activities whether as a youth leader or a member of a youth group.
  • English language skills and capable of academic work (in English medium) to at least Form 6.
  • Either police check or appropriate character reference from government or village officials
