Core Values:

TTI Counseling team has established six core values to guide and uphold our services to our clients. They are also parts of the values that are embraced by counsellors and therapists around the world.

  • Congruence – we believe that “we counsel out of who we are” and we want to ensure that we will be genuine and real with you rather than acting false towards you.
  • Empathy – we will try to understand the problems you are facing the way you experience them rather than just looking at them from our own perspective.
  • Unconditional Positive Regard – we will listen and journey alongside you non-judgmentally.  This means that we will not criticise or judge you for the problems you are facing.
  • Respect – we will treat you with respect regardless of your background. Your right as a human being will be upheld.
  • Integrity – we will ensure that we remain faithful to our services and we will not compromise it for any of our own personal gain.
  • Confidentiality – we will ensure that your identity and life stories are safe and remain confidential, unless you are in a state of self-harm only then will we ask trustworthy parties for their assistance.

Code of Ethics:

In the absence of an established national governing body to oversee counsellors and practitioners in Tonga, TTI Counseling Services will utilise the NZAC (New Zealand Association of Counsellors) Code of Ethics: A Framework for Ethical Practice and NZCCA (New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association) Code of Ethics and Practice to guide their services.
